| IMPORTANT STATEMENT Our MMOC Committee extends to all membersand their families and friends, a cordial invitation to attend all ourmeetings, especially driving your Morris Minor! Only by regular use can aninvestment be properly preserved. It is a recognised fact that a car sittingaround, unused, deteriorates alarmingly quickly! Dates have provisionally been set aside for our club outings, but inevitably some last minute changes might have to be made. If this happens, our Events Co-ordinator, Rusty Clover, will try his best to contact members. Please contact Rusty on (012) 347 8291 (h) or 083-264-6240, or one of our Committee members before the outings, to make 100% sure of the details. Events are scheduled for the whole year, but as these may change because of weather conditions or other factors, the later events will be listed in the nextedition. Our Committee would welcome suggestions for future outings. NB: Times suggested are a guestimate of when the different convoys will depart For the outings / events: Sun 31st Jan 09h00 – Breakfast Que’ Serra near Bapsfontein. (Noeleen and Terence). Sun 7 March 08h00 – The Cullinan Minor Steam Run. A great trip in the huge amazingly restored steam loco or any pre 1971 vintage vehicles, riding in parallel through the tree lined suburbs of Pretoria down memory lane to the old Diamond Village of Cullinan. Great prizes to be won including diamonds. Book early at any computicket or contact Arno directly on (082 293 4616). Sun 21st to Thur 25th March National Rally at Worcester’s Goudini Spa in the Cape for the lucky members who have entered. Sunday 25th April 10h00 – ‘Oppie Koppie bass farm’ picnic in the lapa organised in conjunction with Sue and Ben Calitz. Sat 29th May 13h00 – AGM at the Piston Ring Club. All members welcome (as with all our functions) with a bring and braai afterwards. Sun 27th June Morning tea and scones at Barefoot days, (Joanne and Shaun Steyn). Sun 25th July 10h00 – Dop and Chop at Benoni Village (Norma and Mike). Sept 3rd, 4th, 5th Weekend away (Sharon and Tommie). Sun 27th Sept 10h00 – Lunch/Picnic at Loch Vaal. Sunday 17th Oct 11h00; - Horse gymkhana in conjunction with Gauteng Horse Society. Sun 28th Nov End of year function.
