Anunique event took place after the AGM and it was organised by ourmembers Clive Richardson and Denny McQueen. Tommy and Sharon Smith,Sara Harper and some of the ladies were also instrumental inco-ordinating the party and organising the food. Many thanks go to allof them for arranging this unusual event to liven up proceedings afterthe AGM.

The concept of the party was formembers to bring along their old vinyl long playing records and requesttheir favourite songs to be played. This they did and it was good tohear the old favourites.

Clivebrought his turntables, sound and a huge collection of LPs etc., andtogether with a lovely meal, everything was set for an enjoyableevening. The Piston Ring bar was open and manned by our own memberPhilip Gordon and his assistant. This amenity is always a vital part ofa good party and they are thanked for their contribution.

Fortunately,a number of additional members turned up after the AGM for the party toadd to the atmosphere. Most people danced and much fun was had by all.We even had our local karaoke boytjie, Wynand Wolmarans giving us hisversion of Elvis!
